About
Who builds Traffic OS.
Traffic OS is built and operated by The Key Bot, a software company in Arlington, Texas. We build vertical operations software — systems for trades where the off-the-shelf field-service tools do not fit the way the work actually runs.
Traffic OS exists because traffic-control and barricade companies kept getting handed generic field-service software built for plumbers and HVAC shops. Those tools have no concept of a daily ticket signed by a general contractor's superintendent at a lane closure, no way to track barricades and signs across yards, and no answer for the thing that actually decides whether you get paid: proving a crew was on site, on that date, doing that work. Traffic OS is built around that ticket.
The product is developed in-house. The people who take demo calls are the people who write the software — there is no outsourced sales floor between you and the team that can change the product.
Where it is running
Our first tenant is Blue Goose Barricades, and the product has been shaped by real barricade operations rather than a spec document. We are early and we say so — you will not find invented customer counts, borrowed logos, or review scores on this site, because we do not have the volume to justify them yet. What we can show you is the software, on your own jobs, on a 30-minute demo.
What we do not claim
Traffic OS is a record-keeping and operations tool. It does not certify that a work-zone setup, traffic-control plan, permit, or device placement complies with the MUTCD, OSHA, or any state or local rule. Compliance requirements vary by jurisdiction and must be verified with the agency having jurisdiction. We publish educational content about work-zone practice, and we cite primary sources so you can check us.
